Sandiacre Strollers

A friendly adult walking group. Walks tend to be at a gentle easy going pace on flat terrain. Every Friday from 10.15 am with various finish times. Start point – Usually from Sandiacre Library, Doncaster Avenue, Sandiacre, NG10 5FJ. (Check in the library for changes to start point)

Sharley Park Strollers (Longer Walk)

Walks are generally off road and can include hills and stiles, refreshments available afterwards for a charge. Meeting place: St Barnabas Centre, Chesterfield, S45 9BU.

Bakewell Friday- Very Short Walk

A very short, very steady walk on good ground with no stiles. If hills are taken they are at a very steady pace with stops as required. This walk meets behind the Bakewell Pudding Shop on Water Street and is shorter and steadier than the other Bakewell Friday walks.

Feeling Connected Easy Walking Group

Short walk around the town centre, parks and local spaces from DVA Hub@Low Pavements. The Hub is a friendly, welcoming place to find out what’s going on in the local community, try arts, games, crafts, join the walk or just come and have a chat.1st & 3rd Tues at 12.30.

Matlock Thursday- Very Short Walk

A very short, very steady stroll, taking in the environment and enjoying each others company. We walk for about an hour covering perhaps a mile or less on good ground, with minimal gradient and no stiles. Very inclusive meeting at the Bandstand in Hall Leys Park.

Tideswell Wednesday

A steady walk on rougher footpaths and lanes in and around Tideswell meeting by the bus stop at Fountain Square (next to the public toilets). This group uses stiles and takes in hills at a steady pace.

Monday Strollers

Informal walks around the Ilkeston area. Walks tend to be at a moderate pace with some climbs and mixed terrain. Every Monday from 10.30am until 12noon. Meets outside Victoria Park Leisure Centre 10:15am.

Wirksworth Monday

A short, very steady walk on good ground lasting about 90 minutes covering 1-2 miles. This walk may take in a hill but will do so at a very steady pace with as many stops as are needed. Meeting in the Wirksworth Leisure Centre car park.

Derwent Dawdlers
