A small group of up to 8 walkers at present who walk every Wednesday. We use public transport and usually walk about 4miles though this can be longer in the good weather – we don’t often do stiles and only use good paths in fields.

A local friendly walking group who meet in the reception of Ripley Leisure Centre.

Heanor Walking Group
Our group is friendly and informal. We meet every Tuesday for mainly easy walks which meet at various locations in and around Shipley Country Park, which last up to 2 hours. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Poolsbrook Parkrun
Weekly free 5km timed event at Poolsbrook Country Park, walkers most welcome! Every Saturday at 9.00am, arrive at around 8.45am, first-timers meet by the pavilion café for a briefing. Register beforehand, print your barcode and bring it with you on the day.

Hunloke Gardens Walk With Us
Come and enjoy this hidden gem and its surrounding area. Refreshments available afterwards and a chance to buy plants and fresh produce from the garden. Limited parking during term-time but on street parking and bus number 39 runs nearby. Meet at the cabins at Hunloke Community Gardens, Church Street South, S40 2TF. Every Wed 10.30
