Matlock Thursday- Very Short Walk

A very short, very steady stroll, taking in the environment and enjoying each others company. We walk for about an hour covering perhaps a mile or less on good ground, with minimal gradient and no stiles. Very inclusive meeting at the Bandstand in Hall Leys Park.

Elvaston Castle Night Walk

This sociable weekly evening walk takes place all year round, taking in the paths surrounding and within Elvaston Castle grounds. The group meet on Thulston Green, close to the Harrington Arms pub, at 7pm every Thursday and stop in the pub for a drink afterwards (optional).

Monday Strollers

Informal walks around the Ilkeston area. Walks tend to be at a moderate pace with some climbs and mixed terrain. Every Monday from 10.30am until 12noon. Meets outside Victoria Park Leisure Centre 10:15am.

Tideswell Wednesday

A steady walk on rougher footpaths and lanes in and around Tideswell meeting by the bus stop at Fountain Square (next to the public toilets). This group uses stiles and takes in hills at a steady pace.

Sharley Park Strollers Drive Out Walk

Expect hills, mud, stiles and gates. The walk usually ends at a cafe where there is an opportunity to buy refreshments and to socialise. Meeting place: St Barnabas Centre, Chesterfield, S45 9BU.

Accessible Walk and Talk- Long Eaton

A gentle walk around West Park, Long Eaton. Suitable for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. Walks are at a gentle easy going pace on flat terrain. Every third Saturday of each month from 1.30pm until 3.30pm Start point – Outside West Park Leisure Centre, Wilsthorpe Road, Long Eaton, NG10 4AA.

Wirksworth Monday

A short, very steady walk on good ground lasting about 90 minutes covering 1-2 miles. This walk may take in a hill but will do so at a very steady pace with as many stops as are needed. Meeting in the Wirksworth Leisure Centre car park.

Derwent Dawdlers
