Matlock Saturday

A short walk at a very steady pace on good ground with no stiles. Where hills are taken they are taken at a very steady pace with stops as required. This group walks for about 90 minutes covering about 2 miles and meets at the Bandstand in Hall Leys Park.

Walkie Talkies

Everyone is welcome to chat and have fun while Nordic Walking. Free for anyone living with breast cancer thanks to funding from ‘abcdiagnosis’, walks are adaptable and taster sessions are available. Meeting at Whaley Bridge area, contact us before attending. All welcome for a small donation towards additional poles so more people can join in.

Midlands Nordic Walking at Shipley Country Park

Beginner’s workshops (08:45am) and regular Nordic Walking sessions (10:00am) provided by a team of Nordic Walking instructors. The 10am session runs every week, the 08:45am beginners session is run on demand – so booking is essential. Nordic Walking poles are provided.

Duffield Walking Group- Tuesdays

These walks, of 3 to 4 miles, are for the fitter walker. They usually involve rough field footpaths and stiles, significant ascents and descents, and are typically completed within 1.5 to 2 hours. Walks take place in and around Duffield and the Derwent Valley area.

Walks for All- Fully Accessible, Dementia Friendly Walk/Stroll and Talk

These very steady walks will enable those living with dementia and carers supporting loved ones to enjoy meeting up, being outdoors and sharing your experiences. If you need someone to support you please don’t come on your own, unfortunately we can’t provide support.
