Ashbourne Friday

A steady walk in and around the Ashbourne area meeting outside the Leisure Centre. This walk is on rougher footpaths and covers about 4 miles in 2 hours, including hills and stiles.

Bakewell Friday- Steady Walk

A steady walk using rougher footpaths and some hills and occasional stiles covering about 3 miles in 90 minutes. This walk goes a bit further and faster than our other Bakewell Friday walk. This walk meets outside the Old Police Station on Granby Road.

Matlock Thursday- Short Walk

A very steady short walk of about 2 miles taking about 90 minutes on good ground. Stiles are avoided and where hills are included they are taken at a very steady pace with stops as required. A very inclusive group meeting at the Bandstand in Hall Leys Park.

Ashbourne Tuesday

A short, very steady walk on good ground for about an hour. Strolling on the recreation grounds and surrounding (extensive sports fields), in the Memorial Gardens and around the pond. Meet at the Pavilion off Cockayne Avenue car park. A very friendly inclusive group.

Potter In The Park

A gentle walk around Manor Park, Glossop. Meet near the footbridge in the carpark on Corn Street.

Nordic Walking is an enhanced walking technique that uses poles to work your upper body as well as your legs. It gives you a highly effective all over workout that doesn’t feel like one! Nordic Walking is a fun and social activity that can be enjoyed all year.

Chapel Walkers

We meet outside the stocks in the Market place in the centre of Chapel-en-le-Frith. Parking is also available on Thornbrook Road. Each walk will be around 3 to 4 miles and take 1½ to 2 hours. There will be animals, hills, and lots of fun!
