Erewash

Walking is for everyone –
it’s free, simple and gentle
on your body.

Take part in these short, accessible, wheelchair-friendly walks – led by qualified leaders and of the right length and pace for you.

Erewash is packed with opportunities for walking, including several nature reserves;

The Erewash Valley Trail which is 30 miles of countryside and waterways, The Nutbrook Trail (10 mile traffic free path between Long Eaton, Shipley Country Park and Heanor) and the stunning Bennerley Viaduct.

We have four regular weekly walks (Victoria Park, Long Eaton Town Hall walk, Sandiacre Strollers and Stanley walk), all ranging range from 2-3 miles.

Our new ‘gentle walks’ group is perfect for individuals looking for a steady, gentle stroll. It’s great for those looking to start walking or get back into it. Each walk is 1 – 2 miles with plenty of opportunities to stop and rest with options for walks to be shortened too.

Our Dementia Walks run fortnightly at Victoria Park. These enable those living with dementia, and carers supporting loved ones, to enjoy outdoor exercise.

Also, keep an eye out for our Easter Walking Week.
