Calke Abbey Walk
This is a social weekly walk around the beautiful grounds of Calke Abbey. The walk is led by trained walk leaders who are volunteers at this National Trust Park and can show you the best it has to offer. Takes place every Monday except Bank Holidays and the 5th Monday of the month. Meet at 13:45 for 14:00 start.

FreeElvaston Castle Night Walk
This sociable weekly evening walk takes place all year round, taking in the paths surrounding and within Elvaston Castle grounds. The group meet on Thulston Green, close to the Harrington Arms pub, at 7pm every Thursday and stop in the pub for a drink afterwards (optional).

Get Active in the Forest Parkinsons Group
Join us for this weekly social group for people with Parkinson’s and their families. We will go for a gentle Nordic Walk around the surfaced paths of the Forestry Centre, taking regular breaks at benches if needed. There’s plenty of options to do as much or as little as everyone requires.

We are a friendly sociable group who meet every week for a walk around Hilton Village. Routes include the Gravel Pits nature reserve and the Hilton Valley Woods. Meeting and finishing at the Hilton Brook Pub for drinks (optional). Every Monday (excluding bank holiday).

Melbourne Footpaths Group
We are a volunteer group that is concerned with maintaining, repairing and promoting the local footpath network. We run regular walks and donations from these support our practical work: clearing paths, repairing stiles, erecting and repairing signs and waymarking paths. The group meets every other Friday at Markeaton Park, meeting by the Model Railway Building next to the main Car Park at 10.30am. From there we take a gentle ‘walk and talk’ around the park, before heading back to the Car Park for 11.30/12pm. Please register before first attendance-click more info.
