A steady walk in and around the Ashbourne area meeting outside the Leisure Centre. This walk is on rougher footpaths and covers about 4 miles in 2 hours, including hills and stiles.

A short, very steady walk on good ground for about an hour. Strolling on the recreation grounds and surrounding (extensive sports fields), in the Memorial Gardens and around the pond. Meet at the Pavilion off Cockayne Avenue car park. A very friendly inclusive group.

FreeAshbourne Wednesday
A steady walk over a longer timescale than our other walks. They uses rough footpaths, walks up and down hills using stiles and is for the fitter walker. Starting in different locations, they cover 5-6 miles in 3 hours with a short break half way round for a snack. To find latest walking dates and locations click more info.

FeeBakewell Friday- Steady Walk
A steady walk using rougher footpaths and some hills and occasional stiles covering about 3 miles in 90 minutes. This walk goes a bit further and faster than our other Bakewell Friday walk. This walk meets outside the Old Police Station on Granby Road.

FreeBakewell Friday- Very Short Walk
A very short, very steady walk on good ground with no stiles. If hills are taken they are at a very steady pace with stops as required. This walk meets behind the Bakewell Pudding Shop on Water Street and is shorter and steadier than the other Bakewell Friday walks.

This walk is very steady, on good ground and if hills are included they are taken slowly with breaks. Stiles are avoided. This is a lovely opportunity to walk with a group of people who care about each others welfare and look after one another. The walks are about 2 miles and there will be refreshments afterwards at one of the local cafes.

You’re welcome to come along whether you’re interested in exploring new areas on the moors, getting more exercise or meeting new people. Your walk will be led by a qualified leader and you’ll also meet other people who volunteer on the Eastern Moors. All walks are between 2.5 and 3.5 miles long and should take between 90 and 120 minutes.
