    Everyone is welcome to chat and have fun while Nordic Walking. Free for anyone living with breast cancer thanks to funding from ‘abcdiagnosis’, walks are adaptable and taster sessions are available. Meeting at Whaley Bridge area, contact us before attending. All welcome for a small donation towards additional poles so more people can join in.

  • Duffield Walking Group- Tuesdays

    Duffield Walking Group- Tuesdays

    These walks, of 3 to 4 miles, are for the fitter walker.  They usually involve rough field footpaths and stiles, significant ascents and descents, and are typically completed within 1.5 to 2 hours. Walks take place in and around Duffield and the Derwent Valley area.

    We walk through Belper Parks Nature Reserve with a warm welcome at Reunion Cafe, Strutt Street, Belper, afterwards. Halfway, we will have a positivity thinking point. The aim is to enhance your productivity when you return to your workspace.

    Whaley Bridge Men’s Walking Group

    We are an open and friendly group of (slightly) older men (60-75) who walk from Whaley Bridge once a month for friendship and health. We typically walk 5 miles, usually on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning towards the end of the month. We keep in touch by email.

    Duffield Walking Group- Wednesdays

    These gentler walks are mostly between 2 and 2.5 miles, generally level surfaces without stiles, are taken at a steady pace, and typically last between 1 and 1.5 hours. Walks take place in and around Duffield and the Derwent Valley area.

  • Ashbourne Friday

    Ashbourne Friday

    A steady walk in and around the Ashbourne area meeting outside the Leisure Centre. This walk is on rougher footpaths and covers about 4 miles in 2 hours, including hills and stiles.

  • Bakewell Friday- Steady Walk

    Bakewell Friday- Steady Walk

    A steady walk using rougher footpaths and some hills and occasional stiles covering about 3 miles in 90 minutes. This walk goes a bit further and faster than our other Bakewell Friday walk. This walk meets outside the Old Police Station on Granby Road.

  • Matlock Thursday- Short Walk

    Matlock Thursday- Short Walk

    A very steady short walk of about 2 miles taking about 90 minutes on good ground. Stiles are avoided and where hills are included they are taken at a very steady pace with stops as required. A very inclusive group meeting at the Bandstand in Hall Leys Park.
