This walk goes up and down hills at a steady pace on the local footpaths, using stiles and enjoying the environment around Wirksworth. Breaks are taken, but this walk is a little less steady than Monday and will walk further for a little more time.

Staveley Junior Parkrun

Junior parkrun is a fun and friendly 2km walk/jog/skip/run every Sunday for ages 4 – 14. Register your child, and bring their bar code with you then meet at Staveley Miners Welfare Cricket Club, Lowgates, Staveley, Chesterfield, S43 3UG at 8.45 on a Sunday for a fun warm-up before the start at 9.00. Free parking.

A friendly adult walking group. Walks tend to be at a gentle easy going pace on flat terrain. Every Friday from 10.15 am with various finish times. Start point – Usually from Sandiacre Library, Doncaster Avenue, Sandiacre, NG10 5FJ. (Check in the library for changes to start point)

Hilton Walk

We are a friendly sociable group who meet every week for a walk around Hilton Village. Routes include the Gravel Pits nature reserve and the Hilton Valley Woods. Meeting and finishing at the Hilton Brook Pub for drinks (optional). Every Monday (excluding bank holiday).

Bakewell Friday- Very Short Walk

A very short, very steady walk on good ground with no stiles. If hills are taken they are at a very steady pace with stops as required. This walk meets behind the Bakewell Pudding Shop on Water Street and is shorter and steadier than the other Bakewell Friday walks.
