    We are a friendly group who meet for a short walk every Tuesday and Thursday starting from Peggs Close Car Park, Measham at 10am. Why not join us for a free 30 minute gentle stroll around Measham with a stop off at Age UK for a cuppa and a chat afterwards?

    Measham Longer Walk

    The group walks between 3-5 miles each week at different locations and finish with a refreshments stop afterwards. Sturdy footwear essential. Meeting places vary so please contact the walk leader on 07956 299700.

  • Hilton Walk

    Hilton Walk

    We are a friendly sociable group who meet every week for a walk around Hilton Village. Routes include the Gravel Pits nature reserve and the Hilton Valley Woods. Meeting and finishing at the Hilton Brook Pub for drinks (optional). Every Monday (excluding bank holiday).

  • Sandiacre Strollers

    Sandiacre Strollers

    These are short walks to improve your health in pleasant company. Walks are usually flat, avoid stiles, circular or linear. Everyone walks at their own pace as trained leaders walk at the pace of the slowest walkers. Wear sturdy footwear and appropriate water proofs.

  • Overseal Walk

    This walk is ideal for regular walkers who enjoy walks of up to 5 miles. The group meet every week at different locations for a 3-5 mile walk and always stop for a refreshment break at some point during each walk. Sturdy footwear is essential.

  • Calke Abbey Walk

    Calke Abbey Walk

    This is a social weekly walk around the beautiful grounds of Calke Abbey. The walk is led by trained walk leaders who are volunteers at this National Trust Park and can show you the best it has to offer.

  • Green Bank Leisure Centre Walk

    Green Bank Leisure Centre Walk

    Join us for this sociable weekly walk through the local parks around Swadlincote town centre and drinks after. The walk splits into two groups and is ideal for those who are new or returning to exercise. Meet in the café area of Green Bank Leisure Centre for walk.

  • MindSpace – Markeaton Park

    MindSpace – Markeaton Park

    The group meets every other Friday at Markeaton Park, meeting by the Model Railway Building next to the main Car Park at 10.30am. From there we take a gentle ‘walk and talk’ around the park, before heading back to the Car Park for 11.30/12pm. Please register before first attendance-click more info.

  • Willington Walk

    Willington Walk

    This is a social weekly walk, meeting by the canal for a walk (up to 3 miles) along the canal or through the village of Willington and along the river and finishes with a refreshment stop at the end (optional). Meet at Willington canal car park at the picnic area. PLEASE CALL BEFORE ATTENDING.

    Wee offer friendly walks in the Hasland and Grassmoor areas, suitable for a range of ability levels with options from 30 to 90 minute long walks. The group will be having a winter break through December and will resume their walks on January 8th 2024.
