The event will bring together partners who have a part to play in planning, developing, managing and promoting places and spaces where people can be active – from parks and streets to footpaths and community centres.

We will be sharing the learning from the walking work in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and exploring how we can overcome together the barriers of safety, infrastructure and opportunities that prevent people walking, cycling and wheeling around their communities.

Contributors to include: East Midlands Combined County Authority, Police & Crime Commissioners’ Offices, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Local Authorities, Active Travel, Housing, NHS, Community and Voluntary sector and partners involved in creating safe, sustainable and accessible open spaces.
