A 5 mile loop which takes you from Glossop Train Station, through historic Manor Park, passed the Halls entrance into the historic village of Old Glossop. From here you pass a few local pubs and restaurants, up Hope street long the Roman road leading you passed plantations and up towards Cock hill. Shitterns clough then meanders down a cragged rocky hillside, through some Rhododendron and stream area, perfect for a stop. It then goes steeply down to Mossy Lea. Mossy Lea skirts the bottom of Shire hill, through farmland and then natural woodland, before you return to Manor Park across Pyegrove football pitches. Once back into Manor park, there are places to rest and enjoy the lovely formal gardens. Just a short walk back to the Train station.
