More than 140 people attended the Active Environment Network Conference ‘Move More From Your Door, In a Way That Works For You’ on Wednesday 15 October at the SMH Group Stadium, home of Chesterfield Football Club.
The event shared learnings from the walking work in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and explored together how we can overcome the barriers that prevent people walking, cycling and wheeling around their communities.
Speakers included representative from the East Midlands County Combined Authority, Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Bassetlaw District Council and Amber Valley Borough Council around some of the ways different sectors can come together to support and develop Active Environments in our communities.
