Latest Walking Insight in Derbyshire has been released
At our latest Stakeholder meeting we heard the latest Insight around walking accross the County, looking back over the last 6 years we have been able to see some interesting patterns of behaviour. Some of the key headlines from this data includes; just over 3 in 10 people in Derbyshire are really not walking much at all and those that don’t walk are much more likely to be inactive, generally. we also heard that walking for travel minutes within lower socio-economic communities have halved since the pandemic, whilst walking for leisure has increased. The date also confirms what we already knew in that the higher levels of deprivation can be associated with lower levels of walking. We are currently working on data specific to each borough, which will be released soon.
