Watch walkers in Amber Valley talking about some of the personal benefits they get from being part of a walking group.
The video features walkers from groups in Heanor, Somercotes and Duffield, as they talk about how walking helps them feel better physically and mentally, manage health conditions, and feel less lonely and isolated.
It also includes action footage from some of the walking routes, to help show the accessibility and inclusivityof the walks, as well as the social and fun side.
The aim of the film is to encourage more people in Amber Valley to join one of the existing walking groups, which currently meet weekly in Ripley, Heanor, Somercotes, Belper, Denby, Horsley Woodhouse and Duffield.
Organisers also hope this may lead to new volunteers coming forward to support as Walk Leaders.
The film was put together by Amber Valley Walking Together and Active Derbyshire, with support from Get Out, Get Active Amber Valley and Walk Derbyshire.
