A friendly walking group for men and women who like a gentle ramble. Walks tend to be at a gentle easy going pace on flat terrain but may involve crossing fields/stiles. Mixed walk every first and third Sunday and Men’s walk on the second Sunday in the month. Start point – In the car park behind Draycott Fish Bar.

FreeWeekly Walk and Talk
Weekly walking and social group for all. Walks are every Thursday evening and take place in Long Eaton, meeting outside the leisure Centre before heading off on the walk. Usually lasting up to an hour, walks are very accessible and suitable for all abilities. Gradually increase to 5k over 12 weeks or walk the full distance. Contact before arrival.

We are an open and friendly group of (slightly) older men (60-75) who walk from Whaley Bridge once a month for friendship and health. We typically walk 5 miles, usually on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning towards the end of the month. We keep in touch by email.

FreeWillington Walk
This is a social weekly walk, meeting by the canal for a walk (up to 3 miles) along the canal or through the village of Willington and along the river and finishes with a refreshment stop at the end (optional). Meet at Willington canal car park at the picnic area.

Wirksworth Monday
A short, very steady walk on good ground lasting about 90 minutes covering 1-2 miles. This walk may take in a hill but will do so at a very steady pace with as many stops as are needed. Meeting in the Wirksworth Leisure Centre car park.

This walk goes up and down hills at a steady pace on the local footpaths, using stiles and enjoying the environment around Wirksworth. Breaks are taken, but this walk is a little less steady than Monday and will walk further for a little more time.

Working Women Walk at Straws Bridge Nature Reserve
We know how hectic the week can get, so this walk is all about slowing down for a moment, getting some fresh air, and having real conversations with other working women nearby. In collaboration with A Force of Nature CIC and Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.

We set off from the top of Youlgrave at Coldwell End parish council car park at 10:30am on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. On the 4th Tuesday we go on safari and start at other local locations.
